The Glare

The design of the pavilion is based on the concept of recycling and lighting. The pavilion uses recycled materials such as plastic for vinyl flooring, recycle glass bricks for façade. The pavilion also aimed to be semi-permanent to minimize the waste of carbon footprint.

The pavilion aims to connect the surrounding area with three zones: a gathering hub, a resting space and an event space. The gathering hub is the central area of the pavilion, where people can meet, socialize and exchange ideas. The resting space is a quiet and cozy area, where people can relax, read and enjoy the natural scenery. The event space is a flexible and open area, where various activities such as workshops, performances and exhibitions can take place.

The pavilion uses zoning and portals to create different spatial characteristics. Zoning refers to the division of the pavilion into different functional areas, each with its own identity and mood. The pavilion also uses the existing trees and landscape as an extension of the structure, creating a harmonious relationship between the built and natural environment.
